Jochen and Ralf Leser are the fourth generation to run our family business. With a clear vision and a real hands-on mentality, they ensure that we are always close to the market, our customers and our employees. Jochen contributes his many years of experience in sales and brand management to ensure that our products are not only convincing, but also perfectly supported. As Technical Managing Director, Ralf drives the further development of our production and products. Together, they provide impetus to ensure that leser Verpackungen delivers exactly the solutions that are needed today and tomorrow - personal, committed and future-orientated.

The 5th generation takes off

In July 2023, Jannik Leser became the fifth generation to join us. With a degree in International Management, Technology and Entrepreneurship and experience in digital marketing, he brings a breath of fresh air to The company. He drives digitalisation, e-commerce and innovative marketing strategies. The aim is to make processes smarter, improve the customer experience and create real added value with modern tools such as artificial intelligence. This is how we make leser packaging fit for the digital world of today and tomorrow.

1937: The beginning in Lahr

1937: The beginning in Lahr

On 1 July 1937, Fritz Leser Senior laid the foundation stone in one of Lahr's oldest case factories. With high-quality packaging for watches, jewellery and gift items, a success story began that continues to this day.
1945: A new start after the war

1945: A new start after the war

After the difficult war years and the loss of many machines, Fritz LESER Senior and his son started again in rented premises - with unbroken determination. This perseverance characterised the rebuilding years.
1953: The second generation takes over

1953: The second generation takes over

After the death of the founder, Fritz Leser Junior took over the management. He expanded the company internationally and grew the team to around 170 employees.
1967-1975: Innovation by the third generation

1967-1975: Innovation by the third generation

Wolfgang and Winfried Leser brought fresh impetus to sales and technology. The switch to plastics production laid the foundation for strong growth.
1979: Strategic expansion

1979: Strategic expansion

Acquisition of Max Retsch Nachf. GmbH from Pforzheim-Unterreichenbach.
1986: Company relocation

1986: Company relocation

Relocation of the site from Hansastrasse to the Lahr West industrial estate. The new facility covers 18,500 m², of which over 5,200 m² is built over.
1991: Extension

1991: Extension

Extension of 3,000 m² to the existing company building.
1994-2000: The fourth generation takes over

1994-2000: The fourth generation takes over

Jochen and Ralf Leser continue to run the company in the globalised world and change its name to Leser GmbH. Wolfgang Leser hands over management of the sales division to his son Jochen. Ralf Leser takes over the technical management from his uncle Winfried. At this point, the company employs around 150 people.

2002-2011: New business areas

2002-2011: New business areas

The takeover of the Hönig company enabled the expansion of the production of deep-drawn parts and decorative items. The integration was completed in 2011.

Cooperation with the US company Warner - a significant step towards meeting the requirements of the global market.

We are celebrating our anniversary on 1 July. There are now virtually no limits to the variety of materials, colours and shapes.

With the "1560 EARTH" bioplastic series and FSC®-certified materials (our FSC® licence number: FSC® C144083), we responded early on to the desire for environmentally friendly solutions. Sustainability is now an integral part of our philosophy.
