SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING FOR YOUR BUSINESS
Conventional packaging materials and disposable solutions have a significant impact on the environment and resources. Sustainability Packaging solutions offer a way to protect and market products without unnecessarily burdening the environment.
Below you can find out what sustainable packaging materials are, why they are important for companies and how we, as a B2B packaging manufacturer, provide sustainable packaging solutions.

What is sustainable packaging?
Sustainability packaging is characterised by the fact that it is more environmentally friendly over its entire life cycle than conventional packaging. There is no rigid definition, but essentially they use materials that either come from natural, renewable raw materials or can be easily recycled without any loss of quality.
It also includes resource-saving manufacturing processes and a well thought-out design that ensures product protection - because packaging is only sustainable if it protects the product so well that no unnecessary waste is produced due to damaged goods. The energy required for production and recycling is also included in the balance.

Legal requirements
The legal requirements in the packaging sector are becoming stricter across Europe - see also the Packaging Act. Governments and the EU are constantly introducing new regulations to reduce the environmental impact of packaging. For example, the planned EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) stipulates that from 2030, only packaging that is at least 70% recyclable may be placed on the market. Some countries already have quotas for the use of recyclate (the proportion of recycled material in new packaging) and bans on certain disposable packaging.
The companies that switch to sustainable, reusable and recyclable packaging at an early stage are better equipped for these changes. They do not have to make hectic changes in order to comply with legal requirements, but fulfil them proactively. This reduces the risk of penalties or sales bans and provides planning security. In short, sustainable packaging makes your business model future-proof, as it already incorporates upcoming regulations. At the same time, you make an important contribution to global sustainability goals (such as the Sustainable Development Goals for climate protection and responsible consumption).

Sustainability certifications:
The FSC® seal
Since 2018, we have been able to produce your packaging in accordance with FSC guidelines. (Our FSC® licence number: FSC® C144083).
The FSC® is an NGO (non-governmental organisation) that has set itself the task of protecting forests. Members of the organisation include individuals and associations as well as representatives of various interest groups. The central concern of the FSC® is to ensure responsible forest management from controlled sources in accordance with local interests. Today, the FSC® is represented in over 80 countries worldwide and is therefore internationally active. FSC®-certified products are - in addition to wood - also products made of wood or wood fibres, i.e. paper or cardboard. For processing companies in the paper and packaging industry, FSC® certification means complete chain of custody certification: from the forest to the end customer.
