Your customers are in Antwerp, Copenhagen, Paris or Vienna. You are in Lahr, and that is exactly where you look after them from: in English, in French, in German, and if you can, in Dutch.
We package jewellery and watches for brands across Europe. In the export team you are the first point of contact for our major customers in Belgium and the Netherlands, for all Scandinavian countries, for brands and distributors in France and the UK and for industrial and major customers in Austria. Some need you in English or French, others in German.
There are four of us in inside sales: two for the German-speaking market, two for export, and you join the export team. In addition, there is a colleague who looks after the jewellers in Belgium and the Netherlands on site and knows the customers very well. You coordinate closely with her, by phone and by email, so that major customers and jewellers are served from a single source. You are not on the road yourself: you reach your customers from the office in Lahr, there is no field sales team in export.
For us, French is not an extra but a requirement: we want to expand the support for our French jeweller customers over the next few years, directly on the phone. When the time comes, you will be right in the middle of it.
